My Favorite Run

I love the greenway near our house. It's only a mile away--perfect distance for a warm-up--and then has several miles of paved and gravel trails, which is perfect because once I got past running 4 miles, I was having to do a lot of weaving in and out of our neighborhood to get my mileage.
Its been so beautiful (and is getting better everyday--these pictures are from about 3 weeks ago, before the trees started blossoming and now there are even leaves coming out.) We've seen squirells, all types of birds, and even a fox.And its pretty flat--big plus when I'm pushing the stroller. Although the hill coming back up to our neighborhood is killer. I'm usually walking by then.
I'm totally ready for the 10K. I actually did an almost 7 mile run a couple weeks ago, so I've done the distance. Now I'm just hoping that the nagging aches and pains are going to hold off long enough for me to run it pretty comfortably. Some days are better than others, but I'm getting excited.
And while I'm updating about my goals, I'll just say that the last 4 are going well--we've had people over for dinner several times, hosted a couple playgroups, and Daddy-o and I have even gotten out for a date at least once a month (and we discovered that the matinee price at our local movie theater is only $5 which makes seeing movies a possibility! It had been a long time since I'd seen something besides from Netflix), I've mopped my floor several times this year already (which is several times more than normal), made plenty of time for reading, done some sewing, and lots of exercising. Now I just need to get busy improving my spiritual self and making a blog book, which just isn't going to happen with my limited computer usage right now. But Lent is almost over!

That trail looks a lot like ours! Ours leaves right in front of our house or I don't think I'd use it as much as you do.

That looks like a fabulous place to get your exercise. I've missed the paths that weaved through student housing.

I would love to run that trail with you! My goal is a 10k by the end of the year. I am running 3-3.5 miles a few times a week but, get bored...I need some motivation:)

I'm just about having palpitations at just the thought of running 4 miles!!! I don't know how you do it. Looks like a lovely place though.
