The seals at the Children's Cove in La Jolla:
The kids were fascinated (Bugaboo had to be reassured that the seals were not going to eat him, but once we got that cleared up, he had a great time.)
The temple--Daddy-o and I each managed to sneak in a session at the temple--this is where we got married, as well as where I spent many hours searching for peace that first year after my dad was diagnosed with cancer, so it will always have a special spot in my heart.
And then, the food. There are just some places that you miss when they aren't around.
Bugaboo enjoyed his first In-n-Out milkshake.
And its not a trip to San Diego without some fish tacos. I ordered some a few weeks ago out in NC and it was just not the same.

There were a few more restaurants that we wanted to go to, but ran out of time, although we also did have dinner at our favorite neighborhood italian place the first night (when we ate dinner at 3:30 and put the kids to bed at 6--that time change took awhile to get used to!)

I'm jealous! We also love In and Out and Rubio's Fish Tacos! Do they still do Tuesday $1 fish tacos? Hope you don't mind me commenting on your blog. :)
Hey Jen! They do still have $1 fish tacos on tuesdays, but we totally forgot so we went there on Wednesday.
We'll have to get together sometime! We still haven't met your baby.
