It may not have started out as much,
enough to do a little southern sledding,
make a little snowman,
and then we hit Day 2.
Which brought the most snow we've ever seen in Charlotte.
It was absolutely breathtaking.
And it meant the real fun could start. Full-size snowman,
great packing for snowballs,
some tunnel digging through the two foot high drifts,
and driveway snowboarding (I think both kids are naturals--makes this mama proud! Oh, and sidenote--plastic, when stored for more than a decade in a hot/cold garage, eventually does disintegrate, as seen when my bindings fell apart at the slightest touch, implying that maybe those car seat expiration dates aren't so crazy afterall).
The neighbors even built an igloo.
Pretty impressive for the few hours that it lasted.
The neighbors are always one of the best parts of snow storms.
Everyone's out and about, playing, meeting at the park hill for sledding. It's always so fun and breaks up the long months before the pool reopens so we see all these people regularly again.
We had a couple more days of great snow fun. I'm not really a cold weather person, but if it will snow enough that we can really have fun in it, I'd take a good storm once a year.
Check out those blue eyes :)
All the snowman building made him pensive.
Even Peanut warmed up to the idea.
